Challenges / Outlook
To organize and strengthen the processes of recycling in a sustainable manner, involving all important players in Bolivia (authorities, private companies, informal sector of waste pickers and the Foundation of Recycling, FUNDARE).
To create good frame conditions for a recycling industry in Bolivia, by supporting the organisation and regulation of the existing market, and by stimulating local initiatives which help in-creasing the recycling quota, in order to close the PET recycling loop inside Bolivia.
To create new jobs for poor people, mainly from the informal sector of waste pickers, in the field of recycling in Bolivian cities.
