The coordinated work with the educational units (schools and colleges) is quite successful. To guarantee sustainability, it is crucial that running campaigns are going to be institutionalized.
The cooperation with the informal sector of the waste pickers is quite difficult. They are used to work irregularly: as soon as they get a better paid activity, they will not be available for an unknown number of days. In order to strengthen this cooperation, the project has to create a stable cooperation with a reliable team.
There are only few local companies which are buying recyclable goods such as PET, to resell the material abroad.
Up to now there is no recycling industry inside Bolivia. Therefore the really lucrative part of recycling is still missing in Bolivia.
