System Conformity

«Every bottle counts!» - according to an advertising slogan from the sector organisation PET-Recycling Switzerland. Indeed so that every bottle can be counted, they must fulfil specific criteria. Nothing is more annoying than a PET bottle which has been collected and sorted, but then has to be put into the rubbish burner as it doesn’t conform with the system. This means high logistical costs for PET-Recycling Switzerland, but no contribution towards the necessary collection quota of 75%.

In order that this can be avoided, the process «system conformity PRS» is applied. This means: A PET bottle goes through the whole added value chain (collection, sorting and recycling) and can finally be recycled without any additional costs.
