The idea of the Knowledge Platform PET-Recycling
PET is the fastest growing plastic: we reckon on a two figure growth rate up until 2010. The main area of use for PET is in drinks bottles. These are excellently suited to recycling. Valuable resources and energy can be saved through recycling. The jobs which are created by the PET recycling system are an important project motivator in the Southern states.
With the PET recycling knowledge platform we want to present concrete knowledge, so that more PET drinks bottles can be collected worldwide and meaningful recycling can be carried out.
Role of REDILO
There are industries that are concerned with the manufacture and recycling of plastics. But what happens in between? How is waste turned into a complete material chain? That’s what REDILO stands for: proven, tested and sustainable material concepts over the whole added value chain.
